These our officers for the 2016-2017 school year, find out more about them below.
I am a sophomore in Silliman College planning on majoring in history and political science. I have the pleasure of serving as Co-Chairman of YNR. Over the past year and a half, the Republican Party has moved far from it’s roots and principles. It is our goal to put the party back on the path of sound, honest, reasonable conservatism and away from the path of fear, hate, and extremism. We wish to grow the party by spreading a more inclusive message rather than insulting those who do not agree with us or look like us. Together we can make a difference.
I’m a Junior in Jonathan Edwards College majoring in Global Affairs. As Co-Chairman of YNR, I look forward to helping direct the Republican party back to the conservative values it was founded upon. The 2016 Presidential Election has left our party and nation divided, yet I sincerely hope that through our efforts to promote the traditional conservative policies in support of economic prosperity, equal opportunity, and national security, we can help the GOP move away from the divisive and immoral rhetoric which has tainted our image at home and on the world stage.
I am a senior Classics major in Trumbull College. An avid golfer, I have worked extensively with youth-in-government programs, including serving as Director of the Yale Youth Leadership Program, in my efforts to share my passion for civic engagement with young people. I am a Yale New Republican because I am a fiscally conservative, pragmatic Republican who believes in an inclusive and principled party.
I'm a junior in Jonathan Edwards College majoring in Mathematics and Physics and I hope to serve as treasurer of YNR. Coming from an immigrant family, I always heard stories about the limited economic opportunities "back home" and realized everyday how blessed we were to be living in America. I owe any of my success to this country, and this is my attempt to give back to this country, by working to bring the GOP back to its roots, dispelling the misconceptions that have become associated with being a conservative in present day America.
I am a sophomore in Calhoun College planning to major in Biomedical Engineering. As Secretary of the YNR, I look forward to working with our leadership board to bring the Republican Party back to its roots and principles. We are not a party that preys on people’s fears and we do not support anybody who does. We hope to spread the message of inclusivity and equal opportunity that has inspired many great Republican Presidents and politicians to lead our country. Together, we can make the Republican Party the party of Reagan again.
